The Well Tempered Clavier I



The Well Tempered Clavier The 1st volume BWV 846-869 is completed in 1722, when Bach is 37 years old. 1722 are the time (1717- 1723) when Bach was striving for court easy length by the Keten. It was also a mature time as a composer. It was the time which was very substantial also on the living environment and had been most blessed also in Bach's whole life.



         


In these seven years, Bach is composing the work for Clavier, such as instrumental music, such as the "Brandenburg concerto", and "The sonata and Partita for solo violin", and "Invention" "The English suites""The France suites", as music enjoyed at the home for a pupil's education. "The Well Tempered Clavier" was one of them.



         



"The Well Tempered Clavier, or preludes and fugues ranging through all tones and semitones, including the major third, from C to E, and the minor third, from D to F -for the use and instruction of young people musically inclined and anxious to learn and also for those already versed in this study. Composed and compiled with considerable pleasure by Johann Sebastian Bach, director of music at the court of Anhalt-cothen, A.D.1722"


It is said in 1722 that Bach is "The Well Tempered Clavier" as a work of art as well as this collection of music being a textbook for a music student. "The Well Tempered Clavier" which will put those who hear it in the charm of melody -- here ....
